🥂✨ MAJOR NEWS – SIMON RION VERTICAL EXPERIENCE ✨🥂 7 vintages. 9 Champagnes. Only 10 seats. This is a Champagne tasting I've been incredibly excited to present. ❤️🍾 When Simon Rion Vintage 2005, 2006 & 2007 arrived at Champagne by Moes, it moved fast. Sales have only gone one direction – and now the inventory is EMPTY. 🔥 Interest has been fantastic and I've received incredibly positive feedback on the old vintages. But now comes the BIG NEWS: I've had the opportunity not only to open 2005, 2006 & 2007 again – but also for the first time to present 2009, 2010, 2012 & 2013. And of course it should be done properly. Therefore, I'm inviting Thursday, December 3, only 10 guests inside The Vault for a very special: 🍾 SIMON RION – VERTICAL EXPERIENCE 🇫🇷 WHO IS SIMON RION? Simon Rion is exactly the type of Champagne producer I personally love to find and present through Champagne by Moes. Not a large international champagne house with millions of bottles. Quite the opposite. Simon Rion is a small family-owned grower producer from Courmas in Montagne de Reims, where the family has worked with Champagne for four generations. Simon took over the family domaine from his father Pascal in 2007, and today he works with just around 2.15 hectares of vineyards. It's small. Very small. ❤️ And that's a big part of the fascination. Here Champagne is about family, terroir, craft, personality and respect for where the grapes come from. The vineyards are located around Courmas and consist primarily of Meunier and Pinot Noir plus a very small amount of Chardonnay. The soil is characterized by clay and chalk, and Simon works deliberately to let both the terroir and individual vintages express themselves in the Champagnes. No herbicides are used, the soil is worked mechanically, and the house is certified both HVE – High Environmental Value – and Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne. 🌱🍇 For me, this is part of what makes Grower Champagne so fascinating: Small quantities. A family story. Clear terroir. A passionate winemaker. And Champagnes with their own identity. And Thursday, December 3, we'll really dive into Simon Rion's universe. 🥂 WE START THE EVENING WITH: 🍾 Simon Rion Blanc de Noirs 🍾 Simon Rion Blanc de Blancs Two Champagnes that give us the perfect introduction to the house and Simon's style. And then the great journey through 7 different Vintage Champagnes begins: 🍾 Vintage 2005 🍾 Vintage 2006 🍾 Vintage 2007 🍾 Vintage 2009 🍾 Vintage 2010 🍾 Vintage 2012 🍾 Vintage 2013 7 vintages from the same small producer – tasted side by side. 🔥🥂 This is exactly where a vertical tasting becomes something truly special. We'll experience what different harvests do to the Champagne. How do the aromas develop? How does acidity, structure, maturity and complexity change over the years? And perhaps most importantly: Which vintage becomes YOUR favorite? ❤️ I'm personally very much looking forward to pitting 2005, 2006 & 2007 against 2009, 2010, 2012 & 2013. The three oldest vintages have already shown their qualities – and are now sold out at Champagne by Moes. Now only 10 people get the opportunity to taste them again – this time alongside four other vintages from Simon Rion. ✨ PRACTICAL 📍 The Vault – Copenhagen 📅 Thursday, December 3 ⏰ 5:00 PM–7:00 PM 🥂 9 Champagnes total 🍾 7 different Vintage vintages 🇫🇷 One small Grower producer 👥 Only 10 guests 💰 Price: 995 kr.
