Proud Phoenix Comedy Show Case Three brilliant comedians. One monthly showcase. At Proud Mary. A Copenhagen comedy favourite is rising from the ashes. Proud Mary’s weekly Monday new-material night was where comedians tested ideas, refined their jokes and occasionally discovered in front of a live audience that something needed a little more work. The old show was free, so whenever a joke didn’t land, people could always say, “You get what you pay for.” Now it’s a ticketed showcase... and you still get what you pay for. Fortunately, that means three hand-picked comedians performing their best material. Proud Phoenix Comedy Show Case transforms the former weekly open mic into a monthly celebration of brilliant live stand-up. Each edition brings three talented comedians to Proud Mary for an evening of developed material, distinctive voices and plenty of laughter. Kicking off the new show are Elise Smidt, Derek Hartman and Ulug Bek . Elise Smidt Elise Smidt is a Dutch-German comedian, model and content creator—because apparently one attention-seeking profession wasn’t enough. As @elise_unhinged, she has amassed more than 100,000 TikTok followers with her cursed craft videos. She is also the co-owner of Nørrebro Comedy Cellar, Copenhagen’s only fully English-language comedy club. Derek Hartman Derek is an American comedian who has lived in Copenhagen since 2017 and spent years turning his experiences as a foreigner in Denmark into jokes, stories and unhinged observations about Danish life. He has performed across Europe and the United States, but you may know him best from social media, YouTube or as the host of the podcast What Are You Doing in Denmark? Ulug Bek Ulug Bek is your favourite comedian from Uzbekistan—although there are only two of them. After studying in Sweden and settling in Denmark, he fell in love with Scandinavia and has spent years trying to integrate. He cycles, recycles and worships the sun. He still butchers the language while “snakkering” Danish, gets confused by week numbers and has no Danish friends, but he doesn’t seem to mind. Ulug has toured Denmark with more than 20 sold-out performances of ALMOST DANES and ALMOST DANES 2, his trio shows with Kriti Prajapati and Adrian Mackinder. He has also performed at Fringe festivals across all the Nordic countries. The comedians may arrive in Halloween costumes. They may not. Either way, we promise a laughter-filled start to your Halloween weekend. 🎃 Friday, 30 October 2026 📍 Proud Mary Copenhagen Tickets available now A limited number of Super Early Bird tickets are available, followed by a limited allocation of Early Bird tickets.
