Welcome to the Cozy English Book club in Klubben…
Join us for a 75 min session to discuss the book of the month in Klubben. Together, we gather with cozy blankets & bolsters to build community around our favorite (or at least some recent thought-provoking) books that we’ve read. The discussion will happen in English although you can read the book in any language of your choosing. Whether you’ve already read the book, are currently reading or are almost finished, you are welcome to join us for discussion (just hint there will be spoilers if you didn’t finish). We will dive into the discussion of the book, the themes & our own thoughts on the book, hearing new perspectives & asking one another questions to dive in a bit deeper with the novels! What are we reading: 31st of October : Verity is a 2018 psychological romantic thriller by Colleen Hoover that follows a struggling writer who uncovers dark, horrifying secrets inside the home of an incapacitated bestselling author named Verity Crawford. 21st of November : Project Hail Mary is a science fiction thriller by Andy Weir about perseverance and survival against the odds. Set in the near future, the novel follows Dr. Ryland Grace, a junior high school science teacher turned astronaut. Grace awakens aboard the spaceship Hail Mary without memory of his past or his mission. You are welcome to bring the book to the workshop to discuss specific points or chapters, but it is not necessary! Book suggestions for the next months will be voted for in our final discussion. About the teacher : Natasha will be your host for the workshop, a dedicated reader & lover of book talks! She is one of the regular yoga teachers in Absalon & looks forward to making a new cozy way to exercise our reading & discussion skills in Klubben. We look forward to seeing you there! Best Natasha & Absalon Practical info: Price: 60 kr. + 3,75 kr. booking fee The session includes a cup of tea. You are welcome to also bring a notebook if you’d like to take notes but not necessary.
