Come and make your own mobile in Absalon!
Have you been dreaming of making a nice piece of decor for your home? Do you have high ceilings, staircases, or a space which just looks a bit empty? Mobiles are hanging sculptures with moving parts that hang freely and rotate or sway in the air. In this class, we’re going to be exploring mobiles — from those which lull babies to sleep, to the kinetic sculptues of Alexander Calder — and making our own. We’ll talk about how to construct mobiles so that they spin, balance, and make a beautiful composition. We’ll provide materials to make our own, such as figures from our ceramic studio, colourful paper and other materials. If you have dreams of your own personal mobile, you’re also welcome to bring your own items to use. We are looking forward to seeing you! PRACTICAL INFO We are in Tårnværelset on the 3rd floor. You get there by taking the stairs up by the entrance. There is no elevator. It costs 150 kr. to join. You can buy your ticket on the page below. Tickets are non-refundable and can t be changes to another date. The class will be taught in English.
