Which film shall we watch? This evening we're showing the documentary "The Last Silence" (2025), directed by Kasper Bisgaard and Mikael Lypinski. In the forests of West Virginia, the world's most powerful radio telescope is hidden. It's so sensitive that even the smallest signals can interfere with it. Therefore, mobile phones, WiFi and microwaves are prohibited in an area around the telescope called "The Quiet Zone." Because of the technological silence, many people who suffer from electromagnetic hypersensitivity seek refuge here. But what happens when this silence is disturbed? When WiFi and smartphones begin to sneak into this peaceful corner? Film club evening with debate and voting. This is the last of 3 events in Dox:2700's fall 2026 season. This evening there will be no presentation after the film. We debate the film ourselves and vote on which films we want to see next season. Everyone is welcome to come watch the film and participate in the debate. If you participate in the voting, you automatically become a member of the club and will receive an email when tickets for next season are made available. We are a friendly and debate-loving community with an interest in documentaries. The club has existed for 10 years, is run by volunteers and is based at Husum Library. We always have room for more members and look forward to welcoming you. Practical information: It is free to participate. Get your free ticket on Billetto. First, we watch the film. Then there is debate and voting. The film runs 1 hour and 23 minutes. There will be a short break with tea and coffee. Everyone is welcome.
