Over Frozen Fields - Christmas Concert with Vocal Ensemble SUONA and pianist Pål Eide. When snow falls, it arrives silently and makes everything quiet. The cold freezes water to ice, the earth becomes hard and stiffens. Movement and sound disappear and everything quiets down. With this concert, Suona will give sound to winter's silence. We will sing about a frosty clear night when everything seemingly lies dormant under winter's closed eyelids. As we lie on a soft blanket of snow, as if carried on a white heaven, we feel winter's grandeur and mystery. In frost's embrace, we are all subject to the same fate. To the hope of a miracle that can break the silence. The concert at Messiaskirken has unnumbered seats. Doors open 7:30 PM. About SUONA: The vocal ensemble SUONA was established in early 2022 with 40 singers who have all previously sung in various girls' choirs around the country, such as DR's Girls' Choir, Fredensborg Castle Church's Girls' Choir, St. Anne's Girls' Choir, South Jutland Girls' Choir and others. Suona sings a mixed repertoire consisting of classical works and Danish songs, as well as various arrangements of rhythmic songs and arrangements by the singers themselves. SUONA is under the musical direction of conductor Cille Buch.
