Classics and pastries. Literature has always been one of the most important platforms for women's right to a life on their own terms – from groundbreaking historical roots through Virginia Woolf's and Simone de Beauvoir's iconic works to today's literature. In her new book "Feminist," Elisabeth Møller Jensen takes us on a journey through feminism's three great waves from the beginning of the 1800s to today – from international icons to prominent voices in Danish literature like Thomasine Gyllembourg, Dea Trier Mørch and Olga Ravn, interspersed with the author's own memories. Through the texts and movements that have driven her own life, she delves into what has shaped our shared cultural heritage and carried the women's struggle forward through two centuries. About the lecturer: Elisabeth Møller Jensen was born in 1946, holds a master's degree in Nordic literature, is a feminist and was for 24 years a prominent and innovative director of KVINFO.
