En aften om den grønlandske forfatter og kunstner Hans Lynge.
Hans Lynge (1906–1988) was a Greenlandic painter, sculptor and writer as well as a social commentator and politician, who throughout his artistic career strongly opposed the Danish colonial power's disenfranchisement of the Greenlandic people. This evening we focus especially on how this is expressed in his writing. Hans Lynge's novel Den usynliges vilje (1938) is a major work of Greenlandic literature, reissued by the publisher Gladiator in 2018 to countless rave reviews. Lynge has now also been included in the new literary canon, and Gladiator has published a collected volume of his three memoirs. Through talks and conversations with Jessie Kleemann, Kirsten Thisted and Jens Heinrich, Hans Lynge's writing and its significance, both then and now, are explored. The event is in Danish and lasts about 90 minutes (including questions from the audience).
