Talking About Yourself Without Apologising for Existing. "Tell me a little about yourself." Four completely harmless words. So why can they make us suddenly forget everything we've ever done? We often have a strange relationship with talking about ourselves. We don't want to brag. We don't want to take up too much space. We don't want to sound arrogant. So sometimes we make ourselves smaller before anyone else has even asked us to. But talking about yourself doesn't have to mean showing off. It can simply mean allowing yourself to be seen. In this workshop, we'll explore how the way we see ourselves affects the way we present ourselves—and how that shows up in our words, our voice and our behaviour. We'll practise talking about our experiences, strengths and interests without either overselling ourselves or apologising for taking up space. Because confidence isn't necessarily about thinking you're amazing. Sometimes it's simply being comfortable saying: "This is who I am." Format: 90 minutes. Audience: Open to the public — no previous attendance required. Approach: Short explanations + practical exercises + role-play + observation + feedback + real-world application.
